The Modern Roast

A Sunday roast is the ultimate meal for gathering your tribe, especially over the winter months.

While nostalgia takes us back to granny’s roast chicken or lamb with all the trimmings, these days we might like different sides to overcooked broccoli and brussels sprouts (sorry Nana)

Peter will demonstrate a versatile marinade that can be used with any roast protein. Then you’ll roast three vegetable side dishes to complement it – and eat the delicious results together. Think twice-roasted cauliflower bursting with bold Indian flavours, sweet kumara with a crispy topping made from sesame seeds and butter, or even a risotto – it will all depend what’s looking good at the markets that day.

These sides will elevate your meal from ordinary to something you’re going to want to make for friends and family as soon as possible.

Our stations can take up to six people, so come with a group of friends, or the family for a fun day out. If you’re coming solo we may pair you up with someone else as we often work in twos or fours

In the name of sustainability we ask you to bring your own container for leftovers, and in the name of safety please make sure to wear closed-toe shoes.
