Our beloved Connie Clarkson is back behind the Homeland Cooking School bench in April, this time to share her Nonya Laksa recipe with us.
A quintessential Singapore street food dish, a bowl of Laksa brings with it noodles, a rich spicy coconut gravy and toppings. This version whakapapas back to Connie’s Singapore neighbourhood of Siglap and is classically accompanied by cucumber, bean sprouts, laksa leaves and a dollop of sambal.*
Formerly part of the Homeland Team, Connie was called back to look after The Kitchen Project, an emerging food business incubator programme she set up in 2018. We are excited that she will also bring us a handpicked lineup of artisan products from her dedicated family of entrepreneurs to taste.
We can accommodate some allergies (depending on the class) but please email us on cookingschool@homelandnz.com to check about yours before booking. Please wear closed-toe shoes and bring containers from home in case of leftovers.
For this class our benches take six people so come as a group or make some new friends on the night.
