800 years in one pot with Peter Gordon

Peter will teach you a lunch dish that he feels is symbolic of our nation’s evolving cuisine from the last 800 years. A one-pot dish of hāngi pork, mussels and clams, kūmara, kārengo seaweed, coconut cream, kawakawa, miso and white wine. You’ll also make horopito fry bread and help it along with a glass of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc or beer.

Our benches take six people, so come as a group or meet some new people on the day. If you have any allergies or dietaries contact Kylee on cookingschool@homelandnz.com to see if we can accommodate them. Please wear closed-toe shoes and bring containers for leftovers.
