Peter will teach you a dish that he feels is symbolic of our nation’s evolving cuisine from the last 800 years. A one-pot ‘boil up’ dish of hāngi pork, mussels, kūmara, kārengo seaweed, coconut cream, kawakawa, miso and white wine. You’ll also make horopito fry bread and help it along with a glass of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc or beer.
Our benches take six people, so come as a group or meet some new people on the day. If you have any allergies or dietaries contact Kylee on cookingschool@homelandnz.com to see if we can accommodate them. Please wear closed-toe shoes and bring containers for leftovers.
