SOLD OUT Peter Gordon’s Summer Classics

In this class Peter will share some of his favourite summer holiday recipes.

There will be a fun drink on arrival to get the party started, then you’ll make a zingy fruity glaze and learn how to turn glazed ham, asparagus and kūmara into the most flavour-packed frittata you’ve ever tasted. You’ll make a rub to coat our fish of the day, and a herby zesty salad to serve it on once it’s cooked (you’ll get to take the glaze and some rub home too)

We’ll finish with the ultimate dessert for pre or post-Christmas gatherings. Peter will show you how to turn Christmas Cake into something magical -served with coconut vanilla custard and roast fruit. This trick comes from his own childhood summers in the Coromandel.

As always, you’ll learn to cook wonderful dishes, discover new products from all around Aotearoa and the Pacific, have a lot of laughs and eat some great kai (beverages available for purchase too) We can accommodate some allergies and dietaries – depending on the class – but please email us at to check about yours well in advance.

Please wear closed-toe shoes and bring containers from home in case of leftovers. Our benches take six people so come as a group or meet some new people on the day.

Due to ingredient, preparation and labour costs incurred in advance of the class, cancellation of attendance must be made a minimum of four days prior to the booking or payment becomes non-refundable. If you need cancel then please try to get your friends to take your place.

No-shows or last minute cancellations are not refunded.

Should the class chef be unavailable to conduct their cooking class due to personal reasons or illness, all attendees for that class will be notified at the time. The class may still go ahead, where applicable, with one of Homeland's team stepping in to take the lesson.
