Winter Warmer Pickle & Ferment with Kylee Newton

Our favourite queen of preserving is back, this time with a shorter class teaching two great recipes – Beetroot & Red Cabbage with Orange & Ginger Kraut and Spiced Turmeric Cauliflower Pickle.

Kylee’s Kraut is a delightful blend of earthy, sweet, and citrusy notes that will add a burst of colour and flavour to any meal, and the pickled cauliflower recipe takes this ordinary vegetable to a whole new level with the addition of aromatic spices and the health-boosting power of turmeric; it’s tangy and slightly spicy, perfect for adding a kick to your salads, sandwiches, or charcuterie boards.

About Kylee:
Kylee Newton is a food writer, educator, and recipe developer. Her food ethics are based around seasonality and sustainability with a strong focus on wasting less and celebrating good produce, predominately through preserving. She has two internationally published cookery books, The Modern Preserver and The Modern Preserver’s Kitchen. Her career has seen her recipes in several UK publications, and she currently writes columns in the NZ Herald’s Be Well and Dish Magazine

No-shows or last minute cancellations are not refunded.

Should Peter Gordon be unavailable to conduct a cooking class due to personal reasons or illness, all attendees for that class will be notified at the time. The class will still go ahead, with one of Peter’s team stepping in to take the lesson.
